This 10 day itinerary allows you to experience two beautiful regions of Colombia and two iconic cities. Flying to Medellin and transferring to a stunning lodge in the rural Antioquia mountain region, you will experience the real Colombia seeing farmers producing cheese, coffee and many other delicacies of the region and allowing you to appreciate the lush green valleys and friendly locals.
You will then experience another side of Colombia, life in the city. The bustling city of Medellin, also known as the City of Eternal Spring, is rich in history, art and architecture. You will have a chance to learn how much this country has changed in the last 40 years and what it has to offer. Stroll around its most famous neighborhoods and parks, or take the cableway to have great aerial views of the city.
Flying on to the Caribbean Coast and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta area renowned for its indigenous communities, beautiful beaches and abundance of birds. A chance to hike in the Tayrona National Park, sacred lands of the indigenous people.
Finish your trip in comfort in the city of Cartagena, this lively Caribbean city offers great vibes and colorful streets. Learn about the rich history of the city and spot local and migratory birds in natural reserves outside the city.

Day to Day
Below is an example day by day itinerary
Day 1
On arrival in Medellin you will be met and transferred to Cannua Lodge, an eco-lodge nestled in the heart of the Antioquia mountain. Relax after a long flight with and enjoy great views over the valley and the rainforest.
Day 2
Relax and enjoy the trails around the lodge, you have the option to learn how cheese is made in rural Colombia, visiting a local farm and the farmers. In the afternoon, you will visit the trails around your lodge. Overnight Cannua Lodge (BL).
Day 3
Today you will visit the Guatape were you will have a guided bike tour around the town and area. which is know for its beauitful scenery and the majestic Penol Boulder which you have the option to climb to get fanastic 360 views (physical staircase climb). After you will transfer to Medellin. Overnight Hotel Quinta Ladera (BL).
Day 4
Today you will have a guided tour of Medellin. You will visit the infamous Comuna 13, an area transformed to a lively neighbourhood from guerilla stronghold, you will also visit Botero Plaza and take a gondola to Arvi Park. Overnight Hotel Quinta Ladera (BL).
Day 5
Today you will fly to Santa Marta and stay in an eco-lodge close to an entrance of the famous Tayrona National Park and near the beach. Overnight Senda Koguiwa (B).
Day 6
Hike in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta to discover The Lost City of Bunkuany, a sacred archaeological site that was recently found by farmers of the Calabazo village. These ruins belong to an ancient indigenous civilization built by the Tayrona culture more than 1,000 years ago. Overnight Senda Koguiwa (BL).
Day 7
Today you will visit a gem of Colombia nature, Tayrona National Park. It is known for its incredible beaches, archeological remains and abundant wildlife. Overnight Senda Koguiwa (BL).
Day 8
Transfer to Cartagena de Indias, founded in the 16th century, famous for its squares, cobblestone streets and colorful colonial buildings. Discover its past and present and visit attractions such as Parque Bolivar, the Clock Tower and many more. Overnight Hotel Casa La Fe (B)
Day 9
Visit to the Hacienda Matute, just outside Cartagena, for a birdwatching adventure. This nature reserve is a birdwatcher's paradise, offering a glimpse into the vibrant world of local and migratory birds amidst ancient trees. Overnight Hotel Casa La Fe (B)
Day 10
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to UK. (B)
