Diving and Jungle Adventure

7 nts Ambergris Caye, 3 nts Cayo District

Enjoy a week of diving on the Belize Barrier Reef and stay in the heart of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye at Ramon's Village. The hotel has a PADI 5 star dive operation onsite and large comfortable boats that are can also go outside the reef to the Blue Hole (*additional cost, minimum divers required). Then head inland to Caves Branch Jungle and Adventure Resort where you will be surrounded by nature and can choose two full day adventures which could include venturing deep into caves used by the ancient maya, visiting majestic mayan ruins, river kayaking, night safaris, cave tubing or waterfall expeditions.

The barrier reef is just 10 minutes by boat from the town of San Pedro on the island of Ambergris Caye and there are 40 named dive sites close by, sites you will visit include Hol Chan Marine Reserve, a protected reserve encompassing a natural break in the reef where you will see a variety of marine life including green turtles, snappers, tarpon, sergeant majors, french grunts, puffer fish, stingrays and eagle rays and numerous nurse sharks. Corals abound in many dive sites including beautiful purple sea fans, elkhorn, staghorn and brain corals, as well as tube sponges.

Breakfast is included at Ramon's Village at the beachside restaurant onsite (full meal package can be included, contact us for quote). There are many bars and restaurants in San Pedro town within minutes walk from the hotel, including over the water bars with views of the barrier reef. The mode of transport on the island is golf cart and it can get very busy at times.

Heading into the jungle is a complete contrast to the hustle and bustle of San Pedro town and you will instantly feel relaxed surrounded by the foliage and birdsong, although listen out for the howler monkeys at dusk and dawn, the loudest mammal on the planet will howl to mark his territory and warn off other males. Caves Branch Jungle Lodge offers comfortable accommodation with adventures that range from gentle to extreme, the choice is yours. All meals are included at the lodge as it is in an isolated location.
